UKEN Action Plan 2025–2026: new opportunities for community energy

The action plan of the Union of Community Energy (UKEN) proposes steps to support energy sharing and community projects.

The plan focuses on several areas: legislative changes that make it easier to set up energy communities, opening support programmes to smaller initiatives and municipalities, greater transparency of the rules for electricity sharing, and cooperation with expert platforms.

It also supports smart metering, demand management and generation forecasting, the elements that make up tailored energy solutions.

For households, businesses, housing associations and municipalities, the plan means an easier start for community projects and for sharing electricity between multiple supply points.
